This social situation is actually more serious than it looks, especially if the NSW Government, Federal Government, different factions of Labor and the Jewish community are all at different levels of agreement.
If these perpetrators are lone wolf actors, it actually means, either the state or federal system, is not built for detecting threats that are not linked with the so called ‘terrorist groups’ (read cells).
From this, it can be deduced that Policing actually do not actually know the brain washing mechanism and/or the actual motives of the attackers, but can only categorize the post incident attribution to terrorism (based on the effect and affect of the tragic deaths).
What does it mean? It means restricting gun laws is a knee-jerk reaction, and that proper interviews of people trying to obtain gun licenses is the better solution, as well as the right for anyone to bear arms (but without the prejudiced view of US style right to bear arms for retaliation- ie, people should have the right to protect themselves).
Playing pass the parcel for blame, in laying attribution to ‘ISIL’ in Philippines, NSW, Federal departments, and potentially turning in into a foreign diplomacy weapon is not going to bring back the lives lost, nor assist in the future trajectory of the safety of Australia.
My thought is that different schools of thought ie diversity hires for analysis operatives has always been needed, as the private club based on cookie cutter personality attributes has not foiled the attacks in Bondi.
